Nearly full-length figure of a woman standing by a table regarding the spectator. Is dressed in black gown, disclosing in front a white satin skirt with gold lace trimmings. Around her neck she wears a delicate lace collar. Her white puffed sleeves are tied with small black ribbons. Her hair is drawn tight back and arranged in ringlets. Canvas: W. 16 5/8; H. 21 1/2.
