January 17. 1908.
Henry C. Frick, Esq., 640 Fifth Avenue New York City.
Dear Sir:-
Without doubt the collection of paintings which
you were good enough to loan to the Union League Club
marked an epoch in the art exhibitions which have been held
at the Club.
The widespread interest taken in the exhibition of your
pictures is evidenced by the fact that the total attendance of
invited guests was far greater than on any previous similar
occasion. --- the card visitors numbering over five thousand
six hundred.
The Committee on Art desires to attest its appreciation
of the very great favor you have conferred upon the Club,
and of the generous spirit which animated you in permitting
a portion of your unrivalled collection to be seen by the
members of the Club and their friends.
With assurances of our highest regard, we remain,
Very truly yours,
SIGNED x H. B. Wilson ?? , Chairman.
