Dear Mrs. Creelman:
I beg to enclose you a check herewith for twenty-six
thousand and six hundred and sixty-three and 77/100 ($26,663.77) dollars, being the balance due you as commission on the purchase of the Holbein and the Titian,– one known as "Thomas Cromwell" and the other unknown.
I enclose you as a memorandum of the transaction as furnished
me by the Bankers Trust Company, together with a copy of their letter to me.
