Dear Sir, I duly received your cable of the 18th inst + I regret there was a little delay in my sending you a reply cable owing to my being ill in bed when your cable arrived. However I cabled you fully last Saturday + answered all your questions in regard End of left page Beginning of right page to Earl Radnor's Holbein. I told you it is the portrait of Erasmus von Rotterdam illustrated on page 37 of Gauz's book. The condition also is perfect + there is no repaint, the colouring is superb, + I gave you the size in inches, viz 31 x 21. I also told you the Picture is signed + dated 1523, the best period. I think you will find it is generally admitted this Holbein is the finest End of right page
