18th December 1900
Dear Sir
When we came to pack up the
frame of the "Consolation Afflictorum" we found it
prefereable to pack it in three cases instead of one as
announced on our legalised invoice. In consequence
we found it impossible to ship these three cases by
the "Normandic" from Havre and are therefore sending
them via Liverpool for SS "Teutonic" which leaves
that port tomorrow. By an error of our packers, those
three cases have been marked PF 2/3/4 instead of FP
We are therefore sending you four cases
instead of two as announced: one marked FP,
by the "Normandic" from Havre, + three marked PF 2/3/4
by the "Teutonic" from Liverpool.
Our brokers in New York are duly
advised of these changements; + the four cases will
be punctually forwarded on to you, in bond
to Pittsburg.
We are Dear Sir yours very sincerely
for Arthur Tooth Sons
