COPY IN LETTER BOOK.
Prides Crossing, Mass., August 30, 1915.
Dear Mr. Knoedler: Your telegram was forwarded to me at Manchester, Vermont, from which point I have just returned, and I have wired you in reply as follows:
"Dr. Kniffler is competent and I can highly recommend him."
I think Dr. Kniffler is competent and I can thoroughly recommend him for the position he seeks in both those establishments; I have known him for a number of years.
It would pay you some time to spend a few days at Manchester; they have a most beautiful golf course there, and it is a charming place.
With kind regards to you and yours,
Very sincerely yours, [Henry Clay Frick]
Mr. Roland F. Knoedler, The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, Virginia.
