"This morning we went to the Frick's house and saw the most beautiful collection of pictures and other works of art I have ever seen in this country. The house at 70th St. is a perfect beauty and the Velasquez, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Franz Hals, Rubens, Turner, Ver Mar [Vermeer], Hogarth, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Gainsborough portraits and pictures, to mention a few names, are beyond belief.
